This is the " Welcome Home" I just finished for the House Quilt Project.
It is for a Marine in the Freedom Station Project.
The sky is hand painted and the body of the quilt was heavily stitched.
I will be making more small quilts in the future . I love making them; they are easy, quick and use lots of small pieces of fabric that I can't use otherwise
I have been spending allot of time inside my home for the last thirteen days . Boy, have we been having storms in my area. It is very cold but it also gives me time to work on many fun projects.
I was able to go out the other day during a break in the weather and take a look at my garden and I have a lot of plants coming up. I have everything covered with plastic which is suspended on wood poles and as soon as the weather settles down I will pull the plastic so my plants can get some sun.
Getting the rain is good, but I am looking forward to spring and summer. Once I get a chance to get some photos of my garden I will post them.
A dear friend gave me some books using polymer clay and I think I will try my hand at making a few pieces of jewelery. I tried to make matchbox necklaces which was a lot of fun.
Another new thing I want to try is wrapped beads. I saw some today that were really pretty and seeing them got me inspired.
I think I will make soup today because it feels like a great day for hot soup and warm bread. I love making my own bread. I find it very relaxing and when it comes out of the oven I am ready with butter and knife.

I Love Making Necklaces
The next project was for a friend who wanted a necklace made from beads( in her favorite colors) and copper. Here are a couple of pictures of the necklace.
I found out a way of cleaning copper that is quick and works . Mix lemon juice and salt, then dip the copper in it and it will look just like a new penny. A friend gave me two bags of copper charms that were black and in the picture you can see how bright the copper piece came out.

Necklace for a Little Girl

A little girl I know wanted a necklace made from purple beads. She also likes shells, dragons ands wolves. So this is the necklace I made for her. I didn't have a dragon charm but I did have a large pearl.glass star. I made her a bead from polymer clay and put the necklace together so that it looks like the small wolf is howling at the moon under the stars. I hope she likes it.
Tomorrow I plan on spending the day working on my Egyptian Garden quilt. I have a couple of upcoming projects to take care of but I have had to put aside working on my quilt and now that I have finished a couple of things in the past couple of days I can spend the day tomorrow quilting. Happy Day! I wish I had more time to work on the quilts and things. I am happy and grateful for every minute I feel well enough to work and also have enough time.

Necklaces for My Granddaughters
I just finished a sent these necklaces to my granddaughters. They didn't really take me long and it was easy for me to make them both different to fit the girls' different personalities and likes. I really enjoy making jewelry; it is a nice change from working with fiber arts, and it helps me regroup so I can pick up and be very focused when I start on the fiber arts once again.

Quick Necklace Project
This is a necklace I made for a friend. I took a little break from working on my quilt to make this piece. I love how this one came out. I am going to make one for each of my granddaughters as well. I am going to make one of their necklaces using blue and silver beads and the other will be made from purple beads.
