I pinned the bindings in place on both quilts . Then I trimmed the edge of the quilts and starched and Ironed the bindings in place and stitched the bindings on the quilt. I found that if I laid the quilts face down on my pattern ( I made earlier) I could turn and stitch the edge of the quilt easily and it helped keep the binding from twisting as I stitched it in place.
