Preparing Veined Leaves

After I stitch the veins on each leaf, I cut them out and then use a stencil tool to burn around the edge of each leaf. This removes any loose threads, seals the edge of the leaf and lets you shape the leaf a little better. At this point you can, if you want, warm the leaf and curl it. Once it cools the curls stay in.
