CAMOFLAGUE BAGS con.
 

    I'm  getting the bags done slowly but surely. I just finished the fronts of the Bear, Turtle and Angel . I cut out the applique  fabric pieces for each front after I fused it to fusible web. I added a branch with holly leave for the Angels halo .
    I used cotton fabric for the bag front and all the applique pieces.
 I will be doing some machine stitching on each bag front after im finished assembling them all and getting the iron on stabilizer attached to the body of the bag and straps.
    In the second picture you can see the fusing I did for each of the pieces of the for the bags. after they are cut out I remove the paper from the back of each piece and apply them to the bags front fabric.
 

 

 

  Here are Applique  pieces, for the fronts of three bags, after they have been cut out and placed on the front of the bags front flaps to set up the design so they can be ironed in place.
  I am working on the bag ,that will have a deer on the front, today.
  As soon as I can get a few bags made and perhaps a set of bowls I will get back to work on my Garden and Local Diner Quilt. Going to be a busy month.

 

                      Border:
  I just finished arranging the border blocks for my quilt.
  I will sew them together in a few minutes and start to work on the middle of the quilt.
 

 

  The second photo is the front of one of the bags I'm working on. I will be making five medium size bags with different animals etc. on the front . I've chosen ( a eagle, bear, deer. wolf and turtle) motif for each. I will do a small size and a large size and I will be making another set of microwavable bowls using the same designs. I'm also thinking about doing a messenger bag size  bag that will be geared more toward men. It took me a few days to make all my patterns and get them cut out of cardboard. I use my empty tea and cereal boxes for my patterns. Here is a picture of my patterns.
                 

    You can see the three different sizes I'll be using for my bags. I've also decided to make a Camouflage angel on some of the bags.
    I'll post a pic of the angel design  once I get one cut out and placed on its background fabric.

     I had so sad news this  last week both our quilt shop/ craft stores are closing in my community .
     I was able to get a few pieces of batik fabric. What was the worse thing to me was the fact that one of the shops had the largest collection s of batik fabric in Northern California in my opinion.
 Here is a pic of one of the fabrics I bought I'm going to use it to make the leave on the tree in the background area of my quilt.

     It's perfect to represent sun light through the leaves. Here is a photo of the fabric.
      

New Fabric Bag
  I just finished a messenger bag today and finally got some photos.

  New Items In Local Shop
      I just took some new items in the local shop today . I  have been making a few of the Microwavable bowls that I first saw on Pinterest .  So far I have made two sales today.
     As soon as I opened the box I delivered a lady bought two sets.
   I think these will sale pretty good.
      I made each set a different color and theme fore the season s holidays ahead.
      Here are pics of the bowls I made.

The first set is made from a pre- printed cotton fabric with fall colors and fall leaf print.. The second set is also made with cotton fabric .The print is a black line drawing on a

 The third set is my Christmas themed bowls. Each
bowl  has a pretty Christmas fabric. There are five bowls in this set.

The next set is my salute to Halloween bowls.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The next item are my Halloween greeting cards    I haven't made greeting cards before . I wanted   to  try my hand at making some for Halloween.  I used watercolor paper to make the cards and envelopes. I used acrylic   paint to make the blood and I cut out bats from   black paper. I found a clip art haunted house  for the front of the envelope. I made stencils and used a stiff brush to tap on the   acrylic black paint to make my evil pumpkin  face  design..

   
                                                                                                                    

I also made a few  Japenese knot bag   and small cotton clutch bag  and a fish bowl  flower vase cozy with a glass bottle for a  plant .
