New Purple Cuff Bracelet

I Finished another cuff bracelet. I chose purple beads and lace to add to this bracelet. I just received some new glitter making pens to use on this and I like the way they work.

In the first picture I had my work table set up to start working on this bracelet. You can see the lace I used  on this bracelet after I dyed it with fabric marking pens.I chose purple and metallic  glass beads to add. I also made polymer beads made from three colors of clay plus I added some translucent clay to my mix.

I am working on a small bag today that will have cherries on the front. I will post later.

Second Cuff Bracelet
Here are a few photos of one of two braceltes I just finished. I added glass flower shaped beads and butterfly and i also added aa polymer bird. I used a simulated bone polymer clay blend for the bird and I antiqued it with  Burtnt Umber acyrlic paint. The bracelet is made from cottom fabric and I stitched the surface with metalic thereads.

 More  About Cuff Bracelets
I love this time of year . It is so beautiful and the weather is perfect.
I have been busy finishing a couple new Cuff Bracelets . These are addicting . I really enjoy making them and I'm happy to be able to use up my odds and ends from previous projects.
I just finished  an article for the  upcoming June issue Quiltposium magazine. These  bracelets will be featured.
This first bracelet was done in an  analogous color  scheme. I choose blues, purples and greens.
I had a small scarab which I had made from simulated Lapis Lazuli and I had a small goddess face I made from simulated jade. The leaves were made from navy blue, white ,pearl and transparent polymer clay.
You can find wonderful clear instructions at Polymerclay Central.com to make the leaves .
I want to make different colors of leaves for each bracelet I make. I like the way they look when attached to the bracelets. I had some beautiful glass beads that were the perfect color . I used a navy blue polymer clay and I glass bead to make the button for this bracelet. I added a dragonfly and  ankh charm
and some metal beads. The fabric I used for the bracelet is cotton and I used metallic threads for the surface stitching.

Another New Cuff Bracelet
Just finished another bracelet last night and now I am ready to start on a mini quilt .I am looking forward to making this quilt. I enjoy making small quilts and they help to use up my bags of scrapes.
This bracelet was made for a friend and they just told me they wanted pinks, purples and flowers and fairies used in the design. A friend of mine had a small fairy to donate to the project. and I had beads beads , rhinestones and ribbons. I also had a couple of pieces of lace . I  used some acrylic paint to paint  the fabric base before I started adding the embellishments.
These make great quick gifts. I fussy cut a couple of butterflies from a piece of cotton fabric and applied them to the bracelet with fabric glue.

ANOTHER CUFF BRACELET
Just finished another cuff bracelet last night  . I was asked to make one using lack ,white, silver and grays.
I had some very pretty trim and plenty of Hematite beads. I had to make the small Labyrinth using polymer clay. I covered a metal button with the clay and baked it. Them I made a small transparency using a liquid polymer and baked it onto the covered button. I made a polymer ankh and added small strings of beads across the surface. I painted the fabric for the inside of the bracelet.
I added pearls and polymer leaves to the surface . I made a cotton loop for the closer.
Metallic thread was added to the base fabric before I did the beading. Just took these pics.
I started a new design today and hope to have it finished in a couple of days . The next one will be done in pinks , purples and greens and the person wants fairies added . Just so happens that a friend of mine had a small fairy charm that I am going to use. Will post pics later.

NEW FUN PROJECT
I was surfing the net a few days ago to see if I could find a new project to work on that I had not tried before so I could make a gift for a friend
I found a great idea . A Cuff Bracelet . There were so many beautiful bracelets out there to see. Artist are doing wonderful things.
So I got busy and pulled out my buttons, beads , threads  and all kinds of little goodies and have squirreled away.
I had a great day just sitting here working.
I started with a rectangular piece of batik fabric and then I layered ribbons and gold threads over the surface and stitched them down. I had several kinds of metallic threads so I stitch on some of those. Next I took my stash of beads, charms tiger eye stone, buttons etc and stitched them on until i felt I had a good design. I took another pieces of fabric and wrote words on it like Love, Dance ,Dream etc.
I stitched the two fabrics together using a zig-zag stitch . Then I beaded the edge with a button hole stitch.  The beads I used are so beautiful they look like tiny metallic winged beetles. I added a batik  fabric loop closer and a big red pillow button. The green leaves with the rust colored veins are some polymer leaves I made for a past project  The tiny bird is another polymer piece i made. I used acrylic paint to antique the tiny bird. I had a few on hand and they were perfect for this bracelet.
I wanted this bracelet to have a earthy forest kinda feel.

The first picture is after I had sew my fabric together , added the fabric closer and beads.
Next  I selected my closer button and finished beading the edge.
   This is the finished Bracelet
